Innovating at Home

You’re an innovator--we know you are! But between work, school, and social obligations, it can be really easy to lose track of yourself. How can innovation exist in your own life when we’re all so busy? And what can it do for us?

There are SO many ways to make sure you’re constantly innovating in your personal life--here’s a quick list to get you started!

1. Combine tasks

Try working out at home while binging your favorite Netflix show, or listen to a podcast while doing the dishes. Combining tasks allows you to be efficient with your time--get creative!

2. Make use of resources

If you’re a student, check out your college library--they’re there to help! Save some cash by checking out your class textbooks long-term, or boost your research cred with the help of a reference librarian. Check to see if you can get your gym membership subsidized by your employer--lots of workplaces have incentives to keep their employees healthy.

3. Strategically subscribe

Subscription services that mail you a weekly or monthly box of products can be a great way to save time. Whether you sign up for a meal-prep service like Blue Apron, veggie delivery from Misfits Market, or you give yourself the chance to try new makeup without breaking the bank with Birchbox, you can save time and money by having the things you need delivered to your doorstep.

4. Be intentional with self-care

Hey! Go drink more water! Find yourself a water bottle that really works for your lifestyle (bonus points if it’s reusable, obviously…) and commit to using it, every day! Bathtub too tiny? We know some folks who swear by covering yourself in a towel while you’re in the bath to help you stay toasty. If you’re finding it hard to stick to your workout regimen (trust us, we get it), partner up with a friend who will keep you accountable.
