Giving Back this June

Every new month is a new opportunity to work new rhythms and habits into your life, and volunteering is one great rhythm we can’t recommend enough. Donating your time helps you learn new skills, get out of your comfort zone, and increase your sense of belonging in the community. Our challenge to you this month is to find ways to give back in the area by volunteering. Here are just a few opportunities!

  • Amherst Survival Center

The Amherst Survival Center is a food pantry and meal service based out of North Amherst, dating back to 1976! Their mission to combat hunger in Western Mass is accomplished through fresh food distribution, a community store, community meals, and a food pantry that runs four days a week. You can learn more about volunteering here.

  • Craig’s Doors

Established in 2011, Craig's Doors is a human services organization that provides vulnerable and unhoused members of our community with emergency shelter, food, and safety, as well as access to the resources they need to achieve physical, mental, emotional, and social well-being. Learn more here.

  • Hitchcock Center for the Environment

Interested in gardening, trail upkeep, or promoting the vision of the Hitchcock Center for the Environment? Their mission is to connect people with nature and encourage a deeper emotional bond with the natural world that sustains us all, through various programs and educational services. Learn more here!

Happy Volunteering!
